I had heard several versions of this song in my first few yers of my medicine journey, and was finally inspired to learn it myself while traveling and studying in Peru. I first learned it on ukulele, but it really grew into something unique when I experimented with playing the chords on my crystal singing bowls, which is the version I decided to release on this album. I feel like the singing bowls give movement and are a musical representation of the light I'm singing about in the song. I hope this track reminds you of the wisdom of our Earth, and how we are deeply connected to this understanding when we allow ourselves to recognize that we are a part of Earth, and all the plants, animals, microbes, mountains, waters and soil are our kin.
